About
Garrett Cook was born in 1987. He studied drawing and painting at Skidmore College, and furthered his formal studies attending the New York Academy of Art. Always a student of discipline and perception, Garrett is a dedicated craftsman.
Garrett has received multiple grants and awards which include the Bob Colacello Scholarship, The Bellas Artes Mexico City Residency, and was a showing artist at the 2024 Rittenhouse Square fine art show. He has shown in galleries in Boston, New York City, Puerto Rico, and Philadelphia. Garrett currently shows work through Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia.
When he is not working at his home studio, Garrett works as a billboard sign painter and muralist, hanging from scaffolding many stories up through every range of weather. You can find his mural work on instagram here: Big Wall Painter
